The Kingdom Choir announce UK tour dates (2019)

Story by Jack Foley

THE gospel choir who performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May have announced a UK tour.

The Kingdom Choir, who became a household name for their beautiful rendition of the Ben E King classic Stand By Me, will head out across the country in April and May 2019.

The choir, led by Karen Gibson, signed a record deal with Sony Music UK after impressing at the ceremony. They are also set to release their debut album on October 26, 2018.

The 2019 tour starts at Sheffield’s City Hall on April 30 and includes stops in Manchester, York, Birmingham and Edinburgh, before culminating with a concert in Cardiff on May 30.

Prior to that, they will also perform at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on May 19 – exactly one year on from their breakthrough performance at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
