The Libertines confirm pre-festival London gig (2010)

The Libertines

THE Libertines have confirmed details of a London gig ahead of their appearance at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival.

The show, their first proper gig in six years, will take place at London’s Kentish Town Forum on Wednesday, August 25.

They played a comeback show in March in a London pub, but the new date will serve as a warm-up show to their festival appearances.

Fans wanting tickets have until 6pm on Friday, August 134, to register their interest via the band’s website

The Libertines announced their decision to reform last month, when lead singer Carl Barat told the BBC’s Newsbeat that the foursome would spend a number of days rehearsing in the north London venue before playing.

The Libertines will then play before headliners Arcade Fire at this year’s Reading and Leeds festival.
