The Libertines to reunite for British Summer Time concert in Hyde Park (2014)

PETE Doherty and Carl Barât are to reunite The Libertines for a one-off show in Hyde Park this summer.
The gig will form part of the Barclaycard British Summer Time concerts in London’s Hyde Park and takes place on July 5, 2014.
The show will mark the band’s first live performance together since their last temporary reunion in 2010, when they played Leeds and Reading Festival.
Barât and Doherty will be joined by bass player John Hassall and drummer Gary Powell.
Preceding them on The Great Oak Stage will be The Pogues, aka London’s Irish punk folk heroes, while Spiritualized, Maximo Park and London’s Wolf Alice will also be appearing as part of the star-studded line-up.
Further Best of British support comes from The Enemy, Reverend and The Makers, I Am Kloot, The View, Darlia, The Rifles, Cuckoolander, Brownbear, Raglans and The Twang.
Tickets for the new date go on pre-sale on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, and on general sale from Friday, May 2.
Other headline acts performing as part of the Summertime Series of concerts include Black Sabbath on Friday, July 4, and Tom Jones on July 13.
