The Maccabees announce farewell shows (2017)

The Maccabees

Story by Jack Foley

LAST August The Maccabees split, much to the dismay of the musical community.

This followed a brilliant 12 month period where the band scaled new heights; headlining Latitude Festival and getting their first number one album with the acclaimed Marks To Prove It.

Now, to mark their departure, the band have announced two farewell concerts at London’s Alexandra Palace and one show at the Manchester Apollo next summer.

Felix White said: “We’re planning on these final shows being a huge celebration, thank you and goodbye to 14 years of writing, recording, playing and touring together.”

The Maccabees play (all June and July 2017):

June
28 – Manchester, O2 Apollo
30 – London, Alexandra Palace

July
1 – London, Alexandra Palace

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 9 at 9am.
