The Mae Shi announce UK single, album and tour (2008)

LA's Mae Shi

Story by Jack Foley

LA-based collective The Mae Shi are poised to release their synth pop single Run To You Grave on January 28, 2008, and will be touring the UK to help promote it.

Hailing from the city of angels on America’s west coast, The Mae Shi take the DIY tack to a new level and have been together since 2002 self-releasing various recordings over the years in their home country only.

But all that’s about to change with the release of the single and then the album HLLYH one week later, on February 11.

To celebrate this fact, The Mae Shi have announced several dates in London as well as Cardiff, Nottingham and Liverpool. They are as follows (all January and February 2008):

21 – Buffalo, Cardiff
22 – Bardens Boudoir, London
23 – Old Blue Last, London
24 – Macbeth, London
26 – Barfly, London
27 – Bodega Social Club, Nottingham
29 – Korova, Liverpool
30 – Gramaphone, London
31 – Moshi Moshi night, Hoxton Bar & Grill, London (with Lykke Li, Fanfarlo and Pencil Toes)

1 – Venue tbc, Birmingham
2 – Push @ Mean Fiddler, London

The Mae Shi are Bradley Joseph Breeck, Jeffrey Joseph Byron, Timothy David Martinez and Jonathan Pat Gray. You can find out more HERE
