The Young Knives to headline free Koko show

The Young Knives

Story by Jack Foley

OXFORD’S finest exports Young Knives are set to play a free headline show at London’s KOKO on September 9, 2008.

The punk-pop outfit will also have Lightspeed Champion in support at the famous Camden venue.

Fans will be charged a small £2.50 handling fee per transaction and the maximum amount of tickets one person can purchase is four – a rule put in place to prevent touting.

Fans click on THIS LINK and follow instructions – they have the option of entering the comp or just ordering their free tickets with small handling charge.

Young Knives are a band who have been cultivating their own brand of melodic pop-punk since the release of their debut album Voices of Animals and Men in 2006 – which earned them a Mercury Award nomination last year.

This year, the band have evolved into a more epic, orchestral sphere, without losing any of their lyrical quirks or British eccentricities with their new album Superabundance on Transgressive records.
