IDLEWILD, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Pull Tiger Tail are among the acts featuring at the tenth Truck Festival, taking place at Hill Farm Steventon on July 21 and 22, 2007.

Started by brothers Robin and Joe Bennett, of the band Goldrush, in response to their disappointment with mainstream festivals, Truck has even been hailed as “the new Glastonbury” – but in truth, it’s more like an exclusive musical village fete and the stage is on the back of a truck!

The event has raised over £250,000 for youth and environmental charities and this year the 5,000 tickets sold out in one hour with queues around Oxford.

The festival is presented by the Truck record label and features the best new and old acts from rock to drum’n‘bass, including Idlewild, Chase & Status, Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze, Outl4w, Goldrush, iLike Trains and Euros Childs.

Special guest on the Sunday is Garth Hudson of 60s legends and Bob Dylan’s backing group, The Band. It’s part of Garth’s 70th birthday celebrations and he will perform several Band and Dylan songs with other festival artists.

Headlining Sunday are the back-on-top Electric Soft Parade, fresh from the success of their No Need To Be Downhearted LP.

For those disappointed fans unable to get tickets, Truck have a new offshoot, the 2000 Trees festival near Cheltenham, a festival dedicated to supporting environmental causes.

Featuring Goldrush, Piney Gir, Frank Turner and INMe amongst others – last few tickets are still available!
