Usher postpones 2013 UK Arena dates
Story by Jack Foley
USHER has been forced to postpone the European leg of his Euphoria, including his gigs in London.
The dates, which were scheduled for early 2013 and included stops in Glasgow, Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham and Manchester, have been put back due to “professional and personal commitments”, according to a statement from concert promoters Live Nation Global Touring.
The statement reads: “Due to professional and personal commitments Usher will have to reschedule his upcoming European tour dates. With the recently-confirmed commitment to The Voice, to ensure that his fans world-wide are treated to the best possible concert experience, the entire tour will be re-scheduled to fall [autumn] 2013 with dates in both North America and Europe scheduled to run concurrently at that time.”
As yet, the re-scheduled dates have yet to be announced, although that announcement is expected to come early next year.
Fans who have purchased tickets to the previously-scheduled dates should return their ticket for refund at point of purchase, as these tickets will not be held as valid for the re-scheduled concerts.
