Vampire Weekend announce autumn UK tour (2019)

VAMPIRE Weekend have announced details of their November 2019 UK and European tour.

The tour, which starts on Thursday, November 7 in Edinburgh, will feature shows in the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, including a 10,000 capacity event at London’s Alexandra Palace on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

The announcement follows the recent news that Vampire Weekend will release a fourth album – titled Father Of The Bride – on May 3 via Columbia Records.

Father Of The Bride is the highly anticipated follow up to the GRAMMY-winning Modern Vampires Of The City.

Fans who pre-order the album before 3pm GMT on Tuesday, March 19 will gain first access to pre-sale tickets from 10am GMT on Wednesday, March 20th. Tickets then go on general sale at 10am GMT on Friday, March 22.

Yesterday, Vampire Weekend’s rumoured collaboration with Jonah Hill surfaced in the form of the new video for Sunflower.

As previously reported, the video was directed by Hill, filmed at locations on New York’s Upper West Side including Zabar’s and Barney Greengrass. The Sunflower clip stars Ezra Koenig and Steve Lacy (who features on the song), with surprise cameos including Jerry Seinfeld and Fab 5 Freddy.
