Win Gnarls Barkley goodie bags

Gnarls Barkley

Compiled by Jack Foley

THE dream team partnership of Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse continues to sweep all before it.

The duo recently released the double A-sided Who Cares/Gone Daddy Gone single from their hugely successful St Elsewhere album.

The formula is pretty much the same – Cee-Lo’s smooth crooning over the top of DM’s effortlessly feel-good beats and melodies. It’s somewhat more chilled than some of their more dance-floor friendly releases but it confirms Gnarls Barkley as one of the best breakthrough acts of the year and looks set to round off 2006 on a high for the partnership.

What’s more, Gnarls Barkley won awards for best new act and best song, for Crazy at the recent MTV Europe Music Awards 2006 – although they missed out on the Best New Artist prize at this week’s World Music Awards to a certain James Blunt.
