Xfm's Winter Wonderland 2009: Line-up announced

RAZORLIGHT, The Temper Trap and Bombay Bicycle Club are among the acts confirmed for Xfm’s annual Winter Wonderland gig in London.

The radio station officially announced the line-up for the sixth consecutive event on Monday, when it confirmed that gigs will take place over two nights – at the Manchester Academy on Tuesday, December 8 and Brixton Academy on Wednesday, December 16, 2009.

The event kicks off at the Manchester Academy with live performances by The Cribs, Liam Fray (The Courteeners), Echo & The Bunnymen, Frank Turner, Delphic and Liam Frost.

The show then hits O2 Brixton Academy with artists including Razorlight, The Temper Trap, The Big Pink, Bombay Bicycle Club and Local Natives.

Steve Harris, Xfm presenter, said: “I’m really looking forward to broadcasting my O2 Evening Show live from both venues and getting some of what will be THE live sets of the year on the radio across the Xfm network live as they happen.”

Mike Walsh, Head of Music at Xfm, added: “Xfm’s Winter Wonderland is always a great night out for Xfm listeners and artists a like, and I am very happy that we secured yet another stella line up that showcases some of the bigget and most exciting acts of today and tomorrow.”

Past artists who have performed at Winter Wonderland include Kasabian, Bloc Party, Editors and Manic Street Preachers.

Winter Wonderland will be held on both nights from 6pm-11pm. Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 6 at 8am.

Advance tickets are priced at £20 for Manchester and £25 for London, and available now from Xfm Xchange. Listeners will also be able to win tickets by tuning in to the station.
