First up, on Tuesday, December 2, Kaiser Chiefs, Iglu & Hartly, Ida Maria, Ladyhawke and White Lies will be playing London’s Brixton Academy, with a few extra special guests!

And then on Monday, December 8, Scouting For Girls, The View, The Music, The Subways, The Automatic, Cage The Elephant and Kid British will all be making sure that Manchester Academy 1’s house is full and rocking to the rafters.

Tickets for both gigs go on sale on Friday, November 7 at 9am, having been announced on Xfm’s breakfast show at 8am on Monday (November 3), when a new charity recipient was also unveiled.

For the first time, Oxfam has become Xfm’s charity partner for its flagship Winter Wonderland shows in December.

The gigs will raise tens of thousands of pounds for Oxfam’s vital work in more than 70 countries worldwide.

Oxfam and Xfm worked together for the first time last year on the fundraising music festival Oxjam.

Gareth Simpson, head of events and community fundraising at Oxfam, said: “Through Oxjam and our work across the summer festivals, Oxfam has always had very close links with music fans, and we’re delighted to be working with Xfm to take this further.”

Mike Walsh, Head of Music at Xfm, said: “Bringing together the stars of tomorrow and today’s hottest bands, this year’s Winter Wonderland gigs promise to be bigger and better than ever. We’re delighted that Winter Wonderland will raise awareness and funds for Oxfam’s vital work both in this country and around the world.”
