Marks & Spencer support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Marks & Spencer

Story by Jack Foley

MARKS & Spencer has produced a range of pink themed products in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer (BCAM), with 10% from the sale of these, plus many other products in stores and on-line, going directly to the charity.

Having raised over £1.5million last year, M&S is now in its sixth successive year of working with Breakthrough – the UK’s leading charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and education.

This year, special BCAM products include a fantastic pink pea-coat style mac, as modelled by M&S face Noémie Lenoir, cute diamante ribbon logo t-shirts and fun accessories including a watch with glittered numbers and a heart pendant jewelled necklace.

Lingerie includes colourful satin and printed bra and knicker sets, as well as a glamorous chemise and patterned kimono, perfect for the evening.

A special BCAM heart-print lingerie set, with a non-wired bra and comfortable internal prosthesis pocket is available for customers affected by surgery.

Home products include a pink silk cushion and a luxurious pink pin-tuck bedspread, while an ornate rose scented candle and pretty, pink china keepsakes and bathroom accessories make perfect gifts.

For the first time, between the 27th September and 31st October M&S will also be donating one penny for every transaction carried out at any of its ATMs in stores to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. For example, taking a separate balance reading and then a cash withdrawal will help to raise an even bigger amount for charity.

M&S is encouraging customers to pick up a special fundraising pack in store and host their own “Pink Party” in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Fun products – ideal for both entertaining and prizes for charity events at home include mini iced ribbon sponge cakes, chocolate heart lollies and a cute ‘Spencer Bear’ wearing a pink ribbon.
