Spellbound Jewellery - Hand crafted gift ideas

Spellbound Jewellery

Feature by Jack Foley

IF YOU enjoy giving or receiving unique and affordable jewellery that has been lovingly hand crafted then why not try Spellbound Jewellery?

The home of jewellery designer and glass artist Kendra Westfold, Spellbound Jewellery offers plenty to choose from, whether it’s fused glass for pendants, cufflinks and rings to glass or Tibetan Silver beads.

Kendra also buys beautiful handmade lampwork beads from her favourite lampwork artists and always uses Sterling Silver earring wires and ring blanks.

Commenting on the name of her company, Kendra told IndieLondon: “I chose Spellbound as a name for a couple of reasons; I’ve always liked “magical” things, such as Dragons, Faeries and Witches.

“The main reason, however, is I find when I’m in the creating mood I feel like something is in the air and the pieces I create come out of nowhere, it’s almost magical, spellbinding.”

And on keeping her jewellery affordable, she added: “I aim to charge fair, affordable prices while promoting the importance of recognising and respecting hand crafted products in relation to cheap mass produced alternatives. The prices of the jewellery range depending on the individual item.

“I always aim to charge fair prices based on the material costs and labour put into making the item. Some of the items are sold for as little as £5 – £10.

“Other items made from my own fused glass and bought in handmade lampwork beads from lampwork artists range from £15 – £35.”
