24: Live Another Day to shoot in London

Kiefer Sutherland, 24

Story by Jack Foley

24: Live Another Day is to shoot in London.

According to Fox, the 12-episode mini-series will pick up four years later in the franchise, with Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer still on the run in the UK following the events of the eighth season finale that saw him forced to become a fugitive. Read our review

The series will take place over 12 hours, instead of 24′s original day-long format, and could yet open up the franchise to new stories if viewers embrace Bauer’s return.

The decision to shoot away from the US marks only the second time in the show’s history that it has done so. Another one-off, the movie 24: Redemption, shot on location in South Africa.

Jon Cassar is to direct 24: Live Another Day, which reunites Sutherland with several cast members from the original series, including fan favourite Mary Lynn Rajskub is to reprise her role as Chloe O’Brian

The series is due to air on Fox in the US in the summer of 2014. A UK air date should follow shortly.
