40: Ed Burns and Doug Ellin eye life after Entourage
Story by Jack Foley
ENTOURAGE creator Doug Ellin is to reunite with one of that show’s recurring guests, Ed Burns, for a new half-hour HBO pilot.
Tentatively titled 40, the comedy-drama will focus on a group of male friends as they attempt to navigate life in a slightly older age bracket.
The show is being set up as an alternative to Ellin’s previously touted drama about a posse of hedge-fund guys in New York, and marks Burns’ first proper foray into series TV despite a number of guest appearances.
Entourage ends its eighth and final season later this year.
