Al Pacino poised for TV's The Hunt

AL Pacino is nearing a deal to join a new TV drama called The Hunt for Amazon.

Devised by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment, the series – which already stars Logan Lerman – would mark Pacino’s first series-regular role.

Based on a story by David Weil, The Hunt follows a band of Nazi hunters in New York City in 1977 who discover that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials have made a home in the United States and plan to create a Fourth Reich there. They subsequently set out on a bloody mission to stop the plan.

Lerman will play a young man whose grandmother is murdered and becomes swept up in The Hunt organization as he tries to find the perpetrator.

Pacino in is final negotiations to play a veteran Nazi hunter who mentors Lerman’s character.

Pacino is no stranger to TV, having won Emmys for HBO’s Angels in America and You Don’t Know Jack. But The Hunt would mark his first role as a series regular.
