Alec Baldwin committed to 30 Rock until final Season 7
Story by Jack Foley
ALEC Baldwin has pledged his loyalty to US hit comedy 30 Rock until the end of season 7.
Responding to rumours that his character, Jack Donaghy, was heading for the exit door, the actor told the Washington Press Corps this week that he intends to stay on 30 Rock throughout the seventh season, adding that it would also be the series’ last.
Baldwin was in Washington to speak at the National Press Club, where he is lobbying for the non-profit Americans for the Arts. He will also be visiting Capitol Hill on Tuesday (April 17, 2012) in an effort to encourage Congress to increase arts funding.
The seventh – and possibly now final – season of 30 Rock will include a second live episode following the success of the first in 2010. It is expected to begin airing on US TV in the autumn.
