Anchorman's Ron Burgundy completes one-off Comic Relief sketch

ANCHORMAN‘S Ron Burgundy (aka Will Ferrell) has completed a one-off comedy sketch for the 2013 Comic Relief.

The comedy offering will form part of tonight’s Red Nose Day entertainment on BBC One (Friday, March 15, 2013).

The sketch ccomes as Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, David Koechner and Steve Carell continue to work on the sequel to their comedy hit Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy… the aptly named Anchorman: The Legend Continues, which is due for release on December 20, 2013.

Comic Relief Funny For Money also boasts a special episode of Call The Midwife as well as the return of Ricky Gervais’s David Brent, James Corden’s Smithy and Dawn French’s Vicar of Dibley (complete with a guest appearance from Homeland‘s Damian Lewis).

It will also feature a Peter Kay cover of the James pop song Sit Down and a performance from One Direction with their official Red Nose Day single One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks).

Commencing on BBC1 from 7pm, the show will also be hosted by Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon, John Bishop, Zoe Ball, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall, Jack Whitehall, Nick Grimshaw, Jonathan Ross, Dermot O’Leary, Claudia Winkleman, Alan Carr, David Walliams and Russell Brand.
