Brooklyn Nine-Nine renewed for eighth season at NBC

ALL HAIL the ‘Nine-Nine’!

Nearly three months ahead of Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s seventh-season premiere, NBC has renewed the comedy police series for an eighth season.

The series stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller and rates among the funniest American imports of the moment.

It started its life on Fox, until the studio announced its cancellation at the end of the 2017-18 season, prompting NBC to step in and offer it a new lease of life.

In 2018/19, Brooklyn Nine-Nine averaged a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers after seven days of delayed viewing. It was one of NBC’s strongest series on digital platforms.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine joins This Is Us on NBC’s schedule for 2020-21. The network is, however, saying goodbye to the revival of Will & Grace and critically-acclaimed comedy The Good Place.
