CARMEN Ejogo and Isiah Whitlock Jr have joined the cast of new Bryan Cranston legal drama Your Honor for Showtime.

The two will be series regulars on the 10-episode legal thriller, which has been devised by Peter Moffat (the BBC’s Criminal Justice, source material for HBO’s The Night Of) and The Good Fight co-creators Robert and Michelle King. Michael Stuhlbarg and Sofia Black-D’Elia have also been added to the ensemble.

The series stars Cranston as a New Orleans judge named Michael Desiato, whose son (Hunter Doohan) is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices.

Ejogo, who most recently was seen in the third season of HBO’s True Detective, will play Lee Delamere, an attorney at a moneyed law firm whose passionate pursuit of justice pulls her back into the New Orleans criminal justice system.

While The Wire regular Whitlock (who credits also include BlacKkKlansman and The Good Cop) plays Charlie, Michael’s oldest and best friend and a rising political star in the city who will do anything to protect Michael.

Production on Your Honor is due to commence this autumn (2019) in New Orleans. Emmy nominee Edward Berger (of Patrick Melrose fame) will direct the first three episodes.

The series is based on an Israeli drama entitled Kvodo.
