Dermot Mulroney and Gillian Anderson for new NBC thriller
Story by Jack Foley
DERMOT Mulroney and Gillian Anderson are to unite for a conspiracy thriller drama being piloted by NBC.
As yet untitled, the show has been created by Rand Ravich (of Life fame) and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will focus on an unlikely puppeteer who will bring everyone from CEOs to the US president to their knees by threatening the things they hold most dear.
Mulroney, whose recent television work includes a recurring role on New Girl, will play Bill Gibson, a meek-looking man who is a chaperone of the ill-fated private school bus that is mysteriously abducted.
He is divorced from his wife and estranged from his daughter, Beth Ann (Stevie Lynn Jones), who is a passenger on the bus.
Joining Mulroney and Anderson on the show is Max Martini (of Revenge fame), who will play a character named Koz, a well-armed and deadly mercenary behind the abduction.
Phillip Noyce will direct the pilot.
