Dexter star Michael C Hall cured of cancer
Story by Jack Foley
DEXTER star Michael C Hall has fully recovered from cancer, according to his wife Jennifer Carpenter.
The 39-year-old star, whose TV credits also include Six Feet Under, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma – a cancer that attacks the lymph nodes – and revealed his condition in January.
But according to Carpenter he has now returned to work on the series, in which he plays a Miami police analyst by day who moonlights as a serial killer.
Speaking of her admiration for the way in which Hall has handled his diagnosis and subsequent condition, Carpenter described him as “incredibly brave” in making his condition public.
Hall went into remission in January and continued treatment at a health centre near Los Angeles.
Dexter has been a big hit with viewers on both sides of the Atlantic – it screens on the F/X Channel in the UK – and is now entering its fifth season in the US.
Hall won a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award earlier this year in recognition of his work on Series 4.
Carpenter also stars as Dexter’s sister, a fellow detective, on the show.
