PRECIOUS star Gabourey Sidibe has joined the cast of American Horror Story: Coven.
Showrunner Ryan Murphy revealed the news via Twitter when he wrote: “Thrilled to announce Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of American Horror Story: Coven.”
Sidibe joins a cast that includes new addition Kathy Bates and returning players Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe.
Details of her character are being kept under wraps, much like the plot. So far, all that has been leaked is that the third season of American Horror Story would focus on witches.
Murphy has previously stated: “It’s a really cool story that we’ve been talking for a couple years, and this seemed to be the year to do it.”
Filming will take place in a number of locations, including New Orleans.
Sidibe is no stranger to TV having been a recurring star on cancer drama The Big C alongside Laura Linney.
