Grimm renewed for second season

Story by Jack Foley

GRIMM has been renewed for a second season by NBC.

The drama with a fairytale twist is the brainchild of Buffy scribes David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf and has proved a surprise ratings hit for NBC on Friday nights in the US, where it has held its own against more established genre fare such as Fringe and Supernatural.

The news was announced by another of Grimm‘s writers Akela Cooper on Twitter, with the excitable tweet: “Just heard the good news: #GRIMM IS GETTING A SECOND SEASON!! … Walk into the office this morning & our showrunners David Greenwalt & Jim Kouf tell me the good news: #Grimm is picked up 4 a second season!”

Grimm stars David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee and Russell Hornsby.

It airs in the UK on Watch on Monday nights at 9pm (Sky 109 and Virgin Media 125).
