Holliday Grainger and Emile Hirsch for Bonnie and Clyde

HOLLIDAY Grainger and Emile Hirsch are to play legendary bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde in a new mini-series for Lifetime/History.
Being set up by Smash‘s Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the four-parter will focus on the infamous bank-robbing couple and their infamous demise.
While Grainger – whose recent work includes Great Expectations and The Borgias – is Bonnie, described as a small-town waitress who longs for romance who becomes Clyde’s doomed partner-in-crime.
The series already boasts Oscar winner William Hurt as Frank Hamer, the Texas Ranger known for his involvement in tracking and killing the outlaws in the 1930s, and Academy Award winner Holly Hunter, as Emma Parker, Bonnie’s mother.
The story of Bonnie and Clyde has been adapted for the screen before, most notably in 1967 in the Oscar-nominated film of the same name starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty and directed by Arthur Penn.
