Homeland: Season 2 gets UK air date in October

Homeland: Season 2

Story by Jack Foley

THE second series of Emmy-winning US drama Homeland is to air in the UK from Sunday, October 7.

The thriller, which took home four Emmys on Sunday night (September 23, 2012), will reclaim its 9pm slot on Sunday nights, pitting it directly against ITV1’s Downton Abbey.

To allow people to refresh their memories or find out what all the fuss was about (and believe us, you should!), the show’s first series will also be repeated in full on More4 with episodes airing on consecutive evenings from tomorrow night (Tuesday, September 25) at 11.05pm.

In the US, the second season receives its premiere on US on cable channel Showtime this Sunday (September 30), just one week ahead of its UK transmission.

Homeland took home awards for best actor (British star Damian Lewis), best actress (Claire Danes) and outstanding drama series. Find out more
