House of Cards renewed for second season by Netflix

SHOOTING is due to commenc on the second season of Netflix original drama House of Cards in the next couple of weeks.
The news was confirmed by one of the show’s stars, Constance Zimmer, via Twitter.
The sophomore run will again comprise 13 episodes and will be available to viewers via subscription service Netflix. It is not yet clear, however, whether all episodes will be released simultaneously, as was the case with the first run, or in more of a serial format over a period of weeks.
Kevin Spacey will reprise his role as the devious Francis Underwood, while Zimmer – who plays Janine Skorsky on the political drama – Robin Wright (Claire Underwood) and Kate Mara (Zoe Barnes) will all return for the new season.
It is not yet known whether the show will be given a third season, although Spacey has previously stated that he is open to the possibility.
The first series was directed by David Fincher, who previously worked with Spacey on Se7en.
