Jenna-Louise Coleman and Penelope Keith join Death Comes To Pemberley
Story by Jack Foley
DOCTOR Who star Jenna-Louise Coleman and veteran actress Penelope Keith have joined the cast of BBC1 period drama Death Comes To Pemberley.
Coleman will star as Lydia Wickham in the adaptation of PD James’s novel, while former Good Life star Keith will play Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
The book places the Jane Austen characters six years on and involves them in a murder mystery.
Matthew Rhys has already been confirmed to play the role of Mr Darcy, while Anna Maxwell Martin is Elizabeth and Matthew Goode is George Wickham.
Further new additions to the ensemble cast include Trevor Eve and The Thick Of It star Rebecca Front.
Death Comes to Pemberley picks up with Elizabeth and Darcy six years after their wedding, when they have two young sons and are preparing for the annual ball at their home.
Juliette Towhidi, the writer of Calendar Girls, has adapted the novel and filming has commenced on location in Yorkshire.
