John Boyega joins 24: Live Another Day

JOHN Boyega, best known as one of the ensemble cast of British monster movie Attack The Block, is the latest name to join 24: Live Another Day.

According to Variety, the actor has signed on for a recurring arc although details of his character have yet to be revealed.

Since breaking through with Attack The Block, Boyega has become a sought after talent who also recently appeared alongside Martin Sheen in BBC TV drama The Whale.

His upcoming slate includes playing Jesse Owens in the biopic Race. Another of his film’s, Imperial Dreams, also just received its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

Boyega’s casting was announced on the same day that Stephen Fry confirmed via Twitter that he would be playing the British Prime Minister in the event series. Read more

24: Live Another Day picks up the story four years after the series finale, which left Jack Bauer (again played by Kiefer Sutherland) as a fugitive, this time in London.

The 12-episode show premieres in the US on May 5 and will be shown on Sky1 in the UK soon after.
