Kiefer Sutherland returning to TV in Touch

KIEFER Sutherland has landed the lead role in a new TV series from Heroes creator Tim Kring.
Touch will focus on a father (played by Sutherland) who discovers that his autistic, mute son can predict events before they happen.
The pilot is being set up by Fox, the same channel behind 24, with production due to start in late May or early June.
Sutherland is currently on Broadway, where he is starring in a revival of Jason Miller’s That Championship Season and hopes to commence work on Touch once has fulfilled those commitments.
Touch marks Kring’s first pilot script since Heroes and looks set to be directed by Charles McDougall, who has helmed the pilots for Desperate Housewives and The Good Wife.
