Lost's Yunjin Kim to star in US version of Mistresses
Story by Jack Foley
LOST star Yunjin Kim is to star in the US remake of hit British show Mistresses.
ABC announced the casting news on Friday (March 16, 2012) when they described the US version as a provocative, thrilling drama that finds four women with scandalous romantic lives caught in storms of excitement and self-discovery, secrecy and betrayal, and at the mercy of the complex relationships they’ve created.
Kim will play Karen alongside the previously cast Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan.
The drama has been penned by Gossip Girl writer KJ Steinberg and is being readied for airing in the US in summer 2013. ABC picked up the project straight to series in February.
Kim starred as Sun in the JJ Abrams’ drama Lost from 2004 to 2010 and Mistresses marks her first small screen role since then.
The UK version of Mistresses ran on the BBC from 2008 to 2010.
