Martin Sheen poised to join Charlie Sheen's Anger Management

The Way, Martin Sheen

Story by Jack Foley

MARTIN Sheen could join his son, Charlie, for some Anger Management.

FX made the announcement on Saturday morning (July 28, 2012) during the Television Critics’ Association’s semi-annual press tour.

Anger Management has yet to be officially renewed but cable network President John Landgraf said that this was likely given that the comedy is the cable’s top-rated scripted comedy thus far.

It was Landgraf that also announced that Martin Sheen would join as a series regular if this was done.

Anger Management is based on the 2003 movie of the same name and finds Charlie Sheen playing a similar role to the one originated by Jack Nicholson alongside Adam Sandler.

Selma Blair and Shawnee Smith co-star. The show broke a ratings record with 5.74 million viewers in its series debut for FX earlier this year.
