Minnie Driver heads for Hail Mary

MINNIE Driver is to star in a new drama pilot for CBS called Hail Mary.
The series will follow a suburban single mum (played by Driver) living in Atlanta who teams up with a hustler to solve crimes. It will take the buddy detective format.
Jeff Wadlow, who wrote the pilot, will executive produce with Joel Silver and Ilene Chaiken.
Driver has previously starred on US TV in The Riches, for which she received an Emmy nomination, as well as the BBC drama The Deep (pictured).
Her recent film credits include Conviction and Barney’s Version.
