Miranda Otto and Corey Hawkins for 24: Legacy

Miranda Otto

Story by Jack Foley

MIRANDA Otto is to join Corey Hawkins in 24: Legacy, the spin-off series designed to reboot the classic real-time action drama.

Straight Outta Compton‘s Hawkins will play the central role of military hero Eric Carter, whose return to the US is followed by troubles from his past. As a result, he is forced to turn to CTU to ask for their help in saving his life and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

According to Variety, Otto will play Rebecca Ingram, the blazing smart former head of CTU.

Now married to Senator John Donovan (who has yet to be cast), Ingram is having second thoughts about having left the counter-terrorism agency.

Otto was most recently seen in season five of Showtime’s Homeland, for which she won widespread acclaim as a double agent.

Original 24 producers Howard Gordon, Manny Coto, Evan Katz and Brian Grazer are set to return to executive produce 24: Legacy, which is expected to land a 13-episode order following its pilot.

However, Kiefer Sutherland will not return to the series.
