CREATED by multi award-winning writer Jimmy McGovern (Cracker, Banished), hit BBC One drama Moving On: Series Four is coming to DVD for the very first time courtesy of Simply Media.

This critically acclaimed long running series features stand-alone episodes and has aired a total of 40 across seven series with an eighth series recently confirmed.

Moving On explores complex issues from addiction, to depression; the life of a struggling single parent, to the pain of a loved one lost. Lies that should never have been spoken to truths that are hard to hear – all linked by the common theme of characters who reach a turning point in life… and then move on.

Featuring a wealth of well-known faces including Rob James-Collier (Downton Abbey), Olivier award winner Matthew Kelly (Stars in Your Eyes), comedian Jason Manford and BAFTA nominee Paul McGann (Withnail & I) and with one (That’s Amore) being directed by the renowned actor and comedian Johnny Vegas (Benidorm) series four was originally broadcast in 2013 with five powerful episodes:

The Shrine

A couple trying to sell their home find themselves in a compromising situation when a young boy is killed on their doorstep. (Starring Matthew Kelly, Barbara Flynn, Sally Carman, Steve Evets and Neil Bell)

Visiting Order

A Norweigian mature student is forced to choose between her imprisoned father and her new boyfriend. (Starring Marian Saastad Ottesen, Rob James-Collier, Bjarne Henriksen and Morag Siller)

A struggling single mum befriends a new mother at the school but soon gets more that she bargained for.

Blood Ties

A man starts looking after his father following a fall, but a tragic accident ensues. (Starring Paul McGann, Jack Shepherd, Jennifer Hennessy and Rob Jarvis)

That’s Amore

When a married couple split up, they become flat mates from hell. (Starring Jason Manford, Rebekah Staton, Jack Deam and Patrick McDonnell)
