Story by Jack Foley
NATALIE Dormer is the first name to be added to the cast of Game of Thrones for its forthcoming second season.
The actress, best known as the seductive but doomed Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s The Tudors, will be a regular cast member for the sophomore run, according to Entertainment Weekly.
She will play Margaery Tyrell, who is described as “a beautiful and shrewd young woman from the influential House Tyrell”.
According to the novels, she’s pledged to marry the late King Robert’s brother, Renly Baratheon, as part of House Tyrell’s support for his bid to seize the Iron Throne from King Joffrey.
Dormer will shortly be seen in the forthcoming Captain America movie.
