Story by Jack Foley
POPULAR TV comedies New Girl and Raising Hope have been renewed for, respectively, their third and fourth seasons.
The pick-ups were announced by Kevin Reilly, Fox Broadcasting’s entertainment chairman, along with freshman entry The Mindy Project.
He commented: “We love working with these talented producers and casts who, week after week, create some of the funniest work on television.
“These shows are creatively vibrant, they have established a loyal and passionate audience, and they will continue to define and grow the Fox comedy brand next season and beyond.”
According to Fox, New Girl is now the No. 1 comedy among its target women 18-34 demographic in the US and The Mindy Project has emerged as the No. 1 new comedy of the season within that same set.
New Girl currently airs in the UK on E4, which is due to commence its second season shortly.
