Outnumbered to get Christmas special on BBC (2016)

Story by Jack Foley

BBC favourite Outnumbered is to return for a one-off Christmas special, according to its show’s creators.

The critically-acclaimed and award-winning show featured the trials and tribulations of the Brockman family – whose three boisterous children outnumber the parents. It was highly praised for its improvisational dialogue.

Original cast members Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez are all set to reprise their roles as the children – Jake, Ben and Karen, while Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner will return as parents Pete and Sue.

Series creator Andy Hamilton told The Telegraph: “The first reaction will probably be, ‘My God, the kids are huge now!’ The second reaction will be the one the writers have been getting since the series started in 2007: ‘I reckon you must have cameras in our house’.”

Outnumbered has previously won three British Comedy Awards.
