Ozark renewed for third season by Netflix

Ozark: Season 2

Story by Jack Foley

NETFLIX has renewed Ozark, the drugs drama starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, for a third season.

The family drama will be back for another cycle of 10 episodes, which is set to debut in 2019.

Showrunner Chris Mundy will return in the same capacity.

Ozark revolves around financial planner Marty Byrde (Bateman) and his wife, Wendy (Linney), and their family’s sudden relocation from the suburbs of Chicago to a summer resort community in the Missouri Ozarks as they navigate life within a dangerous drug cartel.

Mundy serves as show-runner on the series, while Bateman executive produces and directed multiple episodes.

The renewal was announced after Ozark returned at the end of August with its second season, which struggled to attract as many good reviews as its debut run.

The show has, nevertheless, remained a strong ratings draw for Netflix.
