Patrick Malahide joins Game of Thrones

PATRICK Malahide is the latest actor to join the cast of the second season of HBO’s Emmy-nominated drama Game of Thrones.

The British actor will play Lord Balon Greyjoy, the head of the house of Greyjoy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Balon is the ruler of the Iron Islands and father to Theon (Alfie Allen) and Yara (Gemma Whelan).

Malahide’s credits include Sahara and Billy Elliot.

He joins incoming cast members Robert Pugh as Craster, Roy Dotriceas Pyromancer Hallyne; German actor Tom Wlaschiha as Jaqen; Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon, and Carice van Houten as Melisandre.
