Peter Sarsgaard joins The Killing
Story by Jack Foley
PETER Sarsgaard is to play a Death Row inmate in the freshly revived third season of The Killing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will play a character named Tom Seward, a condemned inmate facing the end.
Described as a lifelong convict who was born into poverty and crime, he is the type of character who never wants to appear weak, meaning that every interaction is a challenge that he must dominate.
The casting, which marks Sarsgaard’s first recurring role in a TV series, sees him line up alongside fellow new arrival Elias Koteas, as the new partner to Mireille Enos, Amy Seimetz as a mother whose daughter is missing and Max Fowler as a streetwise hustler.
Joel Kinnaman is also reprising his role in the AMC drama.
The 12-episode third season of The Killing will feature a new case and picks up a year after the Rosie Larsen investigation with Linden no longer a detective.
Bt she is drawn back when Holder’s search for a runaway girl leads him to a string of murders that connects to a previous investigation she led.
