Robert Emms lands leading role in BBC's Atlantis

ROBERT Emms is the first name attached to keenly anticipated new BBC drama Atlantis.
The show, which is being lined up as a Saturday night replacement for Merlin, will air in the autumn on BBC1.
Emms will play a character named Pythagoras, one of the series leads, according to his agent’s web page.
His previous screen credits include Jimmy McGovern’s The Street, Scott & Bailey and movies War Horse and Mirror, Mirror (pictured).
The synopsis for Atlantis states: “The city of Atlantis is a mysterious, ancient place; a world of bull leaping, of snake haired goddesses and of palaces so vast it was said they were built by giants.
“It’s into this strange, compelling realm that the young Jason arrives and an amazing adventure begins, bringing to life the vast store of Greek myths and legends re-imagined for a new generation.”
