Robert Patrick joins True Blood as Alcide's dad
Story by Jack Foley
ROBERT Patrick has landed a recurring role in True Blood as Alcide’s father, Jackson Herveaux.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Terminator 2 star will first appear in a flashback episode that depicts Alcide (played by Joe Manganiello) and Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan) as teenagers in the ’80s.
According to the report, back in the day Jackson was said to be a “powerful, inspiring and heroic” guy but is now someone who has given up on life.
It also becomes clear that as a way to repay his father’s debt to Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) Jackson also stands as the reason that Alcide first agreed to help Sookie (Anna Paquin) search for Bill (Stephen Moyer) during Season 3.
Patrick, whose TV credits also include The Sopranos and The Unit, will make his first appearance during episode nine of the show’s fifth season.
