Rupert Friend joins Homeland as season 2 regular

BRITISH actor Rupert Friend has joined the second season of award-winning terrorist drama Homeland as a regular.
The actor will play Peter Quinn, a “button-down CIA analyst” who oversees a critical operation on the Claire Danes and Damian Lewis starrer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he joins former Lost star Zuleikha Robinson as Roya Hammad, a Middle Eastern field journalist with ties to high-ranking terrorist Abu Nazir (Navid Negahban).
Friend’s big screen credits include 2005’s Pride & Prejudice, alongside former girlfriend Keira Knightley, and 2009’s The Young Victoria, alongside Emily Blunt.
Homeland has just collected two Critics’ Choice Awards for best drama and best actress. Its second season is due to air on US TV screens from September 30.
