Rupert Grint lands Greg Garcia's Super Clyde
Story by Jack Foley
HARRY Potter star Rupert Grint has reportedly landed the lead role in Super Clyde, the new comedy from Raising Hope creator Greg Garcia.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grint will play the title role of Clyde, a well-meaning, slightly neurotic guy who never feels like an outsider.
An avid comic book reader who considers himself a borderline agoraphobic, he pines to be a super hero himself.
So, when Clyde inherits a $100,000 a month inheritance from his long-dead eccentric Uncle Bill, he decides that the cash will be his secret super power and will use it only for good and reward the good-hearted.
Garcia also wrote the comedy hit My Name Is Earl and Earl cohort Mike Fresco wil direct the pilot for CBS.
Grint is, of course, best known for playing Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson but his other roles, thus far, have included Cherrybomb and Driving Lessons.
He will next be seen in CBGB and Cross Country.
