Sharon Stone heads to Law & Order
Story by Jack Foley
SHARON Stone is to take a recurring role in hit US TV crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The Oscar nominated actress will guest star in four episodes, playing a former police officer turned prosecutor.
Hailing the news as a casting coup for the police procedural about a squad of detectives who investigate sex crimes, show creator Dick Wolf said it was “a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon’s wattage and importance”.
For Stone, her Law & Order stint will mark her second foray into television. The actress previously won an Emmy for a guest appearance on legal drama, The Practice.
As yet, NBC has no transmission dates for the episodes.
