TREY Parker and Matt Stone’s long-running animated TV hit South Park has been renewed by Comedy Central for three more seasons.
That means the show will remain on air until at least 2016.
Parker and Stone will continue on with the show, writing, directing and editing every episode up until its 20th season.
Announcing the long-running renewal, Michele Ganeless, president of Comedy Central, said: “The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds. Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy Central. We’re thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016.”
Responding with glee, Parker and Stone said in a joint statement: “Comedy Central has been our home for 15 years and we love working there. South Park is a blast and we can’t wait to make more.”
