SUSAN Sarandon is returning to Ray Donovan as a series regular.

The Oscar-winning actress will reprise the role of studio head Samantha Winslow in the Showtime drama’s forthcoming sixth season having appeared in seven episodes during the 2017 run.

However, anyone anticipating more of the same from the sixth run of the drama had best think again – big changes lie in store.

For starters, production has relocated from Los Angeles to New York, with filming having commenced in April.

Sarandon’s return seemed all-but-assured with the way the last season ended, her character one of the last

Sarandon has been enjoying a strong run of TV roles recently, having also earned rave reviews for her portrayal of Bette Davis in Ryan Murphy’s Feud and successfully lending her voice to multiple animated projects — including Netflix’s Neo Yokio.
