Two And A Half Men renewed for 11th season

Story by Jack Foley

TWO And A Half Men has been renewed for an 11th season – but with some minor differences.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a deal is still being worked out for young star Angus T. Jones to recur on the Chuck Lorre comedy as opposed to being a regular.

Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer have inked new one-year deals for season 11.

Jones’ ‘demotion’ to recurring is in keeping with the actor’s wish to attend college following the 10th run and follows some of the controversial comments he made at the show’s expense earlier this year, for which he has since apologised.

Commenting on the likelihood of further series beyond 11, CBS entertainment chief Nina Tassler said “we’ll see”.

She added: “We have such a crazy success story in terms of our long-running shows, [so] who knows,” she said.

Two And A Half Men‘s renewal means that Lorre will have at least three series on the air in the 2013-14 season, joining previously renewed comedies Mike & Molly and Big Bang Theory.

He also has comedy pilot Mom in the works, which is hoping to get a full series order.
